Description

A great new entry into the dirt tandem market – Available now!

Powderkeg is Salsa’s 29er tandem mountain bike. Crafted of Cobra Kai CroMoly™, it features a massive toptube and downtube to deliver precise tracking even when under power in rough terrain. With the right combination of captain and stoker, Powderkeg is singletrack-ready…but for those less adventurous, it can handle any road you point it down. Up front, the Powderkeg fork is built with the stoutest fork tubing Salsa has ever used, and the 44mm headtube will also accept a 100mm, tapered 1-1/8 to 1-1/2″ steerer, tandem-rated suspension fork if you wish. Clearance for 29 x 2.4” tires, seven bottle mounts, rack mounts, and Three Pack fork mounts mean this tandem isn’t likely to say no to anything you and a friend can dream up.
